Certificated Contract Ratified!

On September 2nd, 1280 energetic SEA members listened to highlights of the tentative agreements and certificated staff voted "yes" to accept by a strong majority. The Parapros and the SAEOP members were unable to vote because there were not enough members from these bargaining units in attendance to vote. 20% is mandated by the SEA Bylaws. Votes on these two contracts will be scheduled shortly.

We are pleased to announce that after many arduous hours, there is a tentative agreement for all three bargaining units and that both the SEA Board of Directors and the Representative Assembly recommend approval!

The Basis for the Joint Proposal

By June this year, the Joint PG&E Taskforce completed a draft of all forms, presented the proposed contract language to the bargaining teams, cross-walked the new state criteria with the four level rated system, and revised the rubric from Charlotte Danielson’s book, Enhancing Professional Practice , to include cultural relevancy.
